Introducing the Whimbrel blog
By Mike Dalton
A flight here, a hotel there, a dinner reservation buried under newsletters. Planning a trip usually means hunting through your inbox for the one email you need, right when you need it.
Whimbrel exists to fix that. You forward a booking confirmation to your private Whimbrel address (or connect Gmail and let new bookings arrive on their own), and an assistant reads the message, pulls out the dates, times, places, and confirmation numbers, and files everything onto the right day of your trip.
What this blog is for
We will use this space to share:
- Product updates. New features, and the thinking behind them.
- Travel planning ideas. Practical ways to get more out of an itinerary, from shared expenses to packing lists.
- Behind the scenes. How we teach an assistant to read a booking email reliably, and what we learn along the way.
Try it on your next trip
The fastest way to see Whimbrel work is to forward the first booking for a trip you already have planned. Watch it land on the right day, then forward the next one.
